Yoga & Art in Chianti

Four Nights in a Medieval Tuscan Castle

28 MAY - 1 JUNE 2026

The Experience

A soulful blend of movement and creativity in rhythm with Tuscan life — all unfolding within the walls of a historic castle. Hosted by Juliet and Nicco, who grew up in these hills and can’t wait to share the landscapes, flavours and spirit they love.

Yoga

Daily classes for all levels, from energising morning flows to calming evening sessions. Each class is about building strength, focus and balance on and off the mat.

Art

Watercolour & acrylic workshops to spark curiosity. Explore freely or with gentle guidance, and leave with pieces you’re proud of- plus a renewed sense of confidence in your creativity.

Food

Seasonal Tuscan meals cooked just for us, with local produce, pasta, olive oil from the surrounding trees! Always satisfying- with Chianti wine if you’d like.

Castle

Castello di Mugnana is a medieval fortress for our exclusive use, surrounded by wooded hills, olive groves and vineyards. Relax at the pool, explore the grounds, or join excursions to Chianti and Florence.

Evenings

Something new each evening: candlelit dinners, live music, outdoor cinema, a murder mystery game, or aperitivo in the village. Join in or simply rest.

 FAQs

  • Not at all. Whether you’re brand new or an advanced yogi, Juliet will guide you at your own level — so you’ll feel both supported and challenged.

  • That’s perfect. This retreat is about unlocking creativity, not about being “good at art.” Juliet will guide you with simple techniques and personal encouragement — you’ll surprise yourself.

  • Absolutely! Many guests do, and it’s a great way to meet new people. Meals and activities are communal if you’d like to join in, but there’s no pressure — there are plenty of quiet corners and open spaces if you prefer to do your own thing. Our team is always on hand to make sure you feel safe, comfortable, and at home.

  • Of course! We’re happy to arrange rooms so you can stay together — just choose the ‘Friends’ package upon booking. You’ll share your space — and bathroom — only with your friends, while still enjoying the wider retreat community during meals and activities.

  • Yes, we’ll share wine at dinner, in moderation. You’re free to enjoy or skip it. Because the retreat is set in Chianti — one of Italy’s most celebrated wine regions — wine is part of the local culture and land. We see it as something to be savored, not overindulged in. Our approach is all about balance, presence, and enjoyment — never restriction or judgment.

  • Absolutely. Just let us know in advance what you require — whether it’s vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free, or any specific allergies or sensitivities — and our team will make sure you’re well looked after. Our goal is for every guest to feel nourished, included, and cared for at every meal.

  • Comfortable clothes for yoga, swimwear for the pool, a light jacket for evenings, and whatever makes you feel at ease. You may also want to bring comfortable walking shoes for exploring the woods and vineyards, where paths can be uneven. We’ll send a full packing list before the retreat.

  • The Castle is about a 30min drive from central Florence. We’ll provide group transfers from Florence airport. You can also fly to Pisa or Bologna (sometimes cheaper and both a short train ride to central Florence). Do let us know in advance so we can pick you up at the train station.

Meet Your Hosts

Juliet

Artist, yoga instructor, and art teacher. Raised in Florence, she studied History at St Andrews and Fine Art in London, where she now teaches and heads the Art Department at a primary school. Practicing yoga for over a decade, she trained as a Vinyasa Flow teacher in 2023. Her classes balance strength and softness, welcoming beginners while still challenging advanced students. Through both art and yoga, she helps others reconnect with creativity, presence, and joy.

Niccolo

Chef, artist, and true Tuscan. Nicco grew up above his family’s restaurant in Grassina, where food and hospitality became second nature. He paints expressive landscapes of his surroundings, is trained as an actor, and has even worked as a blacksmith. Social and warm by nature, Nicco loves bringing people together, whether through food, art, or storytelling. At the retreat, he’ll help create meals, support the workshops, and make sure everything runs smoothly.
